
Minister of Higher Education inaugurates three colleges at Al-Karkh University of Science and presents letters of appreciation to staff
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, inaugurated three new colleges at Al-Karkh University of Science, advancing the ministry’s drive to upgrade university infrastructure and enrich academic services. The newly established colleges are the College of Engineering, the College of Law, and the College of Administration and Economics.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the minister noted that over the past three years the ministry has established 52 colleges, 192 departments, and 70 branches as part of a strategic vision to expand the capacity of Iraqi universities in preparation for serving more than one million students by 2030. He commended the teams for delivering projects to specification and on schedule, emphasizing that measured, high-quality expansion strengthens educational standards and aligns outcomes with labor-market needs.
In the same context, Dr. Al-Aboudi presented letters of appreciation to a number of Al-Karkh University of Science staff members in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the academic mission.
