Scientific Participation in a Master’s Thesis Defense

Prof. Dr. Rami Mahmoud Aidan, a faculty member at the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University for Science, served on the examination committee for the master’s thesis of Hareth Hameed Owaid in the specialization of stratigraphy and paleontology. The thesis, titled “Biostratigraphy and Microfacies of Hartha Formation in Selected Oil Fields, Central of Iraq,” investigated the stratigraphic sequences and microfacies of the Hartha Formation across several oil fields in central Iraq, with the objective of defining depositional and stratigraphic characteristics and clarifying their implications for the region’s petroleum potential.

Several experts and academics were present at the defense. They praised the candidate’s scientific work and pointed out that the committee’s helpful comments would make the thesis even stronger.
